The Myeloma Solutions Fund (MSF) has supported multiple laboratories and projects aimed at elucidating disease mechanisms, identifying vulnerabilities, and developing novel therapies for t(4;14) multiple myeloma. Most MSF-funded efforts focus on functional studies to define tumor biology and therapeutic targets; however, the scale and complexity of genomic analyses often pose challenges due to limited access to complex genomic investigations and access to large, well-annotated datasets for validation. To address this gap, we propose establishing a Genomics Core to initially support four selected MSF-funded laboratories. The Core will provide assistance with genomic data generation and quality control, bioinformatic analysis of MSF-supported datasets, validation of findings using independent cohorts, and application of advanced analytical approaches, including AI-based modeling. The overarching goal is to strengthen collaboration, enable data sharing and integration, and accelerate translational discoveries for patients with t(4;14) multiple myeloma. In addition, the Genomics Core will generate shared resources that support new collaborations, external funding opportunities, and future scientific advances across the MSF network.
